When you have to submit your car insurance claim, chances are you do not feel very amused about the situation at all. There are, however, some cases that most people would find to be quite amusing, if not even slightly out of the ordinary. There have been many situations where people claim that an animal caused them to have an accident. Some people say that they had to swerve to avoid hitting an animal in the road, whilst there have even been claims of people having a rogue animal INSIDE their vehicle that have caused them to have an accident! The problem with these situations is that if there are no witnesses to prove that animal interference was the cause of accident. It is only hearsay from the driver about the incident. If you are lucky your car insurance policy will include a clause about forces of nature. Forces of nature can be taken to be unfortunate weather circumstances, and it can also sometimes stretch into hitting an animal on the road. It all depends on your policy. If you live in an area that is prone to having wild animals on the loose, you need to find out from your insurer about whether or not damages resulting from an accident involving one will be covered.
These are most certainly unusual car insurance claim situations, but they are not completely out of the ordinary either. It is always best to ensure that your coverage is adequate should anything untoward happen!
